      Cloud Tools is Now Beacon!
We have been at this for a while now: cloud connecting our cobots from Universal Robots for nearly 5 years.  With that comes a tremendous amount of experience at building cloud and mobile software that help us manage, support, and upgrade cobots remotely and at scale.  But only recently have we decided to share these capabilities with the broad community and for free.

When releasing our cloud tools for the masses, we wanted to make sure that the product name reflected what it is, where's it going, and why.  Although we wanted a name that shared its origins (Hirebotics) we cared deeply about drawing a distinction from its origins within Hirebotics. You don't need to be a traditional Hirebotics customer to take advantage of our powerful tools.

      What's in a name?

Our software to manage and support cobots from Universal Robots is now called Beacon!  The name Beacon means "a fire or light set up in a high or prominent position as a warning, signal, or celebration."  Beacons are setup in advance so that they guide you when needed.  Our software tools are no different.

      Avoid the Chaos

Production issues are inevitable. Anyone who has worked with machinery or automation understands this extremely well.  Often times you're relying on operators or other teammates to understand what happened as you're troubleshooting a scenario.  Sometimes you're operating remote whether that's because of off shift issues, multi-plant businesses, or global pandemics!  You want to have tools in place before you need them to avoid the chaos when issues occur.

At best, users provide clues.  Beacon provides answers.  Our software provides cloud-based tools that help all production teams maximize uptime on your cobots.

Better Tools.  Fewer Issues.  More Automation.

One of the biggest barriers to automation is the lack of success of prior automation projects.  Success breeds success.  The best way to justify the next automation project is to showcase success on the last.  And there's no better way to do that then to eliminate issues and demonstrate the ability to handle more automation with your current team.

Application monitoring and error tracking tools have been utilized in many software disciplines for years.  The most successful companies use tools like these to manage applications, pinpoint issues, and maximize uptime.  Robotic automation is no different except that these tools have never existed before.  Now they do.  Take advantage of them now so that you can free your time to tackle more later.

      Illuminating the Way Forward

As we've previously mentioned, we're excited to be releasing more of our capabilities in the coming months.  And we have a ton on the roadmap that will enhance these capabilities so that you can pinpoint issues faster and resolve them once. Use Beacon to maximize your uptime!  Join us, and let us know what you need.
